In the beginning of 2020 (pre Covid — gosh, it feels like such a long time ago!), I travelled to Frankfurt to see the trade fair stand of Cybex, where one of my friends was working at the time. It was such fun to see her, but also to discover all of the innovative products of the Cybex collection…:
Like a carseat that turns around 360° so it can be front and rear facing, but also sideway-facing for when you lift your child in and out of the car.
Or an electrical pushchair, which helps you pushing your child up a hill or over rocky paths.
Or the world smallest folded stroller!
I was really impressed by the product design engineering of this brand. The quality of their products — in terms of practicality, flexibility, ergonomics as well as in the aesthetics field — is really admirable.
After my visit, Cybex very kindly sent me some of their products to try at home. So for the past 6 months, we have been trying out the Cybex LEMO chairs. And, because of the lockdown, quite intensively so!
The LEMO Chair is Cybex’ 4-in-1 seating solution for the modern family, and the great thing about it is that with one hand, the height and depth of the seat and footrest can effortlessly be adjusted. No tools (and hardly any effort) is needed!
We have three black LEMO chairs and they are here to stay. I love their clean, cool looking design in our living room, and the flexibility which they offer is really fantastic. Within seconds, chairs are adjusted to toddler height, child height, adult height and everything in between.
Also nice is that there are little wheels hidden in the hind legs of the chair. This way, the chairs are easily moved around the house. But they also, very cleverly!, prevent the chair from tipping over backwards. (I have a deep trauma of baby Bram, sitting in one of our old highchairs and using his baby feet to push himself away from the table. The chair tipped over! He smashed into a piece of furniture behind him. Thankfully things ended up alright, but those highchairs proved to be super dangerous!)
There are different attachment available to the LEMO chair: a newborn bouncer which can be used on the floor as well, and a baby seat with a snack tray, making this chair an integral solution from birth up to old age. So clever.
PS This post is not sponsored by Cybex, but the chairs, as indicated, were gifted to us to try them out in our household and see if we like them. Which we do! Cybex does run advertising on our website, which we are proud of. It is such a cool brand to partner with!
